How care works

  • Assessment:   Sleep history, routines, environment, and schedule; review of medications, caffeine /nicotine/alcohol/supplements; screen for apnea risk and restless legs.
  • Plan: CBT-I-informed strategies (stimulus control, tailored sleep-window, wind-down routine), anxiety-sleep tools, medication optimization when appropriate, and daily “rhythm anchors” (light,activity, nutrition).
  • Follow-up: Short, focused visits every 2-4 weeks with a simple sleep log to guide adjustments; coordination with your therapist or PCP (with consent).

First visit

60-75 minutes to understand your goals and design a two-week starter plan, plus a written after-visit summary.

Daily anchors we'll build

  • Consistent wake time (even weekends)

  • 60-90 minutes of pre-sleep wind-down

  • Morning bright light, dimmer evenings

  • Smart caffeine timing and gentle activity

  • A repeatable “can’t sleep” script for awakenings

Medication Approach

We start with behavioral strategies and add or adjust medications only if needed-always balancing effectiveness, safety, and your preferences. If a sleep study is indicated, we’ll coordinate referral.
